Gas Leak Detection Spray DVSA Approved - 500ml

The Gas Leak Detection Spray is a specially formulated blend of surface-active agents designed to detect even the smallest gas leaks on plastic and metal pipework and fittings. It is manufactured to comply with BS EN 14291:2004 and is DVSA approved for MOT testing of LPG fuel systems.

The spray is easy to apply with a 500ml pump action dispenser. It is safe to handle, non-flammable, non-corrosive, and biodegradable. As of January 1, 2012, it became a mandatory requirement for MOT testers to use a proprietary leak detection spray that meets BS EN 14291:2004 standards for classes 3, 4, 5, and 7, as per VOSA Special Notice 1-2011. When sprayed on components, the spray produces a stable, micro-porous foam that forms bubbles in proportion to the leak size. Larger bubbles indicate a bigger gas leak.

The Gas Leak Detection Spray can be used on various gas installations, including LPG, Oxygen, Acetylene, Propane, Nitrogen, Refrigerant Gasses R134a and R1234yf, Natural Gas, CO2, and more. It is also useful for detecting gas leaks when connecting regulators to Oxygen, Acetylene, and Propane gas bottles.
